125th Street is an express station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 125th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan, it is served by the A and D trains (all times), by the C train (all times except late nights), and by the B train (weekdays).

The station has a full length mezzanine with full-time fare control at 125th Street with four staircases to the street. The part-time fare control at the other end of the station at 127th Street. has two staircases to the street. There are five staircases to each platform and large-scale photos of Harlem in the 1920s and 1930s. In the middle of the mezzanine, there is evidence of closed stairs and exits to 126th Street, one on each side. One of the staircases appears to lead into a business that existed at street level. The tile band on the platform walls was untouched during the renovation and is colored green.

The station was renovated in the 1980s, during which the stairs to each platform at the north end were removed. A more recent renovation to make the station ADA-accessible restored these two stairs and installed elevators near the middle of the platforms.

The next express station, 59th Street–Columbus Circle, is 3.35 miles (5.391 km) away, with seven local stations in between. This is the longest distance between two express stops in the subway system.
