1. adds a <includeonly> so the template is expanded on its own page;
2. converts the above line into below (suggest template's balance then improved);
3. uses linewrapping that works more reliably with Firefox as well as other browsers (and reduces the relatively wide gap between the list of links' wrapped lines).

Remove lists

Remove the Member "states by accession" and "by population" from this template. Neither links to a list. The population list I redirected to the Member state list, which has all the same information plus more, with better updates. The accession redirects to Enlargement of the European Union, which is a more detailed article but, as far as lists go, it's not as good as the main one. Remember that lists are sortable now, so a lot of "List of A sorted by X/Y/Z" lists can be merged into a single "List of A" with sortable columns. jnestorius^(talk) 18:17, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
