The Veritas Volume Manager, VVM or VxVM is a proprietary logical volume manager from Veritas (now part of Symantec). It is available for Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux, and HP-UX. A modified version is bundled with HP-UX as its built-in volume manager. It offers volume management and Multipath I/O functionalities.

In 2006, Symantec sued Microsoft over their use of Veritas technology in operating system products other than those previously agreed to. According to Computer Weekly,

Symantec says Microsoft licensed a 'light' version of Volume Manager from Veritas in 1996 and used it in Windows 2000. Symantec also says Microsoft later used the solution to develop Windows Server 2003. Symantec further charges that Microsoft has used the technology to develop Windows Vista and Longhorn server.[1]

The lawsuit was dropped in 2008; terms were not disclosed.
