The station went on the air as WCDL-FM on 1979-10-31. on 1981-10-12, the station changed its call sign to WLSP-FM, on 1988-08-05 to WSGD-FM, on 1998-05-22 to WCTP, on 2000-12-08 to WBHD, on 2002-04-19 to WCWI, on 2004-02-10 to WNAK-FM, on 2006-07-05 to the current WLNP ,[4]
