WNEZ (1230 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish Variety format. Licensed to Manchester, Connecticut, USA, the station serves the Hartford-New Britain-Middletown area. The station is currently owned by Gois Broadcasting of Connecticut, LLC and features programing from ABC Radio .[2][3]

History

The station first came on the air in the 1950's as WTHT, owned by the Hartford Times Corporation, with a transmitter site off of Love Lane in Manchester, CT. There is no clear record of where the studios were located during this period but it is believed that they were at The Hartford Times Building in Hartford. Later the call letters were changed to WINF and the studio was moved to Manchester, CT.

In the eighties the studios were moved to Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford. In 1994 the studios were moved to the 4th floor of a building on Cedar Street in Hartford and the station operated with a Spanish language format.
