WPEK (880 AM), known as "880 the Revolution", is a daytime-only AM radio station in Fairview, North Carolina serving the greater Asheville, North Carolina area.
History
WTZY signed on in the mid-'90s with a talk radio format, the second Asheville area station to air Rush Limbaugh (after WSKY).
When the station's talk programming was moved to WWNC, WTZY became WPEK "The Peak", a classic country station. Later, the format was adult standards.
Weekend programing includes Mountain Music Time, a program of traditional bluegrass and mountain music broadcast on Saturday mornings, followed by an hour of the Errington Thompson Show, then Virato Live, a holistic, new age metaphysical cultural creative talk show hosted by Virato. The remainder of the weekend is syndicated and sponsored national programming.
